We went digging in Australia and came back with…

… Minor Gold!
Tracy McNeil and Dan Parsons are, respectively, Canadian and Australian and have been together for some time (Parsons is/was guitarist in McNeil’s band TheGoodLife). Holed up in Queensland during “that time in 2020,” the couple started writing together, songs with an altogether different tone from their band’s — somewhat lighter but with the same lyrical depth, and the result is the self-titled Minor Gold, a little gem of an album where the dreams are about moving away, moving on, or just getting away from the ‘imprisonment.’

Minor Gold are a folksy offering with overtones of Simon and Garfunkel, a slice of Graham Nash-sounding harmony and some retro 70s and 80s production – a little something for everyone!

“…like Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham at the top of their game in songs like ‘Don’t Change’ and ‘Cannonball.’”
– Noel Mengel | LOUD MOUTH
Minor Gold – both the band and their album – are a breath of fresh air, standing on the merits of their songwriting and chemistry to deliver a beautifully refreshing collection of songs.
