A little about Jimbo…
As a well-known musical visionary and collaborator with the likes of Buddy Guy, Elvis Costello, Andrew Bird, Squirrel Nut Zippers, T-Bone Burnett, and others, Mathus’ reputation precedes him.
With his current band, he brings together the house musicians from Dial Back Sound studio in Water Valley, Mississippi, who have collectively played on hundreds of Deep South R&B, blues, rock, and Americana albums. Together they form an impressive rhythm section capable of spanning material from Mathus’ entire 20-album solo catalogue.

“Up until meeting Jimbo Mathus, all my musical heroes were dead. Jimbo was anything but and just oozed musicality of a kind I thought was extinct. He is an enigma, a walking contradiction: wild yet refined, worldly yet colloquial. He represents his own brand of the American musical tree.”
– Andrew Bird
